A few notes on sign ups

There are just over 2 days until sign ups close (countdown here).

We have now prepared the bucket requests/offers spreadsheet, which you can access with this link - we will keep this updated over the remainder of the sign up period.

In preparing the spreadsheet, it became apparent that a few participants are using the "Optional Tags" field for general descriptions of the type of works they would like to receive. In FGE, this is not the purpose of this field - it is only for use in making bucket requests/offers. Although AO3 will allow any tag to be chosen here, you should only put in the names of fandoms (as they appear in the tag set) for which you wish to request or offer any/all eligible relationships and characters (in conjunction with putting the special "Any Eligible Relationship or Character" tag in the Relationship field). Any other tags in the "Optional Tags" field cannot be taken as constituting part of your request (indeed, we may have to delete them to ensure matching runs smoothly); please express such preferences elsewhere in your sign up.

I'm sorry, but I'm really confused by the concept of bucket requests/offers. What exactly are they?

If you want to have more requests (or offers) in your sign up than the maximum 10 allowed by the AO3 interface, you can add more fandoms in the "Optional Tags" field on the sign up form and the matching algorithm will be able to take them into account. To make it work, you need to select one fandom in the normal way and then use "Any Eligible Relationship or Character" (rather than any specific relationship tags) in the Relationship field. Then add any further fandoms in the "Optional Tags" section. We ask that people only do it a maximum once each for requests and offers.

Yuletide has had bucket offers for a long time; where FGE differs is in also having bucket requests.
