Tagset | Evidence Post | Rejected Noms

Take a moment to check if we've asked about one of your nominations below or in the previous post. Also, a couple quick reminders: when nominating characters, do so in the form "Character & None". In addition, disambiguating is not required, but it can be particularly helpful for us if there are interconnected or umbrella canons.


Marvel

• Multiple tags - this is a very broad umbrella fandom. The nominated tags seem to be sufficiently rare but we just want to double check the nominator's intent here. For example, for the tag "Clint Barton & Pietro Maximoff & Wanda Maximoff & Steve Rogers" we would consider a work involving comics-616 Clint, X-Men Alternate Timeline Movies Quicksilver, MCU Wanda and Ultimates Steve to be an entirely valid fill. Is this really what's desired or would a more specific fandom tag work better?

Marvel Future Revolution

• Any & Any, Any/Any - only nominations for specific characters will be accepted


• Pietro Maximoff & Wanda Maximoff - This Wiki page has a long list of characters included in the game which does not seem to feature Pietro; please provide evidence he exists in the game.

Doctor Strange (Movies) and Marvel Cinematic Universe

• Multiple tags - many tags nominated in these two fandoms use nicknames for the different version of Doctor Strange from other universes (specifically, "Defender Strange", "Sinister Strange" and "Strange Supreme"); can the nominator confirm that they are confident these are not ambiguous and will be understood to mean the same characters by everyone offering/requesting the tags? There are also a number of tags referring to "Clea Strange" - we intend to modify these to just "Clea" unless there are compelling reasons not to do so.

• Lin Xiaoyu/Sun Rong (The Daily Life of the Immortal King) - The only "Lin Xiaoyu" we can find online is a Tekken character

Hataraku Maou-Sama! | The Devil Is a Part-Timer!

• Ashiya Shirou | Alciel/Maou Sadao | Satan Jacob - after filters, this ship seems to have 12 works from 9 authors which is close enough to the eligibility cut off that we want to ask if there are reasons some of them should be excluded

Doctor Strange/MCU nominator here - I am fairly certain that the names for the Strange variants are as close to "official" as we can get. They are used on both the MCU wiki and Wikipedia, as you can see here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stephen_Strange_(Marvel_Cinematic_Universe)#Alternate_versions

I have also gone ahead and changed Clea Strange to just Clea.

Thanks! It seems like there's still some overlap in the use of "Supreme" - is the intention in the tags here the What If ...? version? (as distinct from the 838 version, who perhaps could be called "Illuminati Strange" without ambiguity.)

Hmmm yeah I could see there being some ambiguity there. I have changed Strange Supreme to Strange Supreme (What If?), does that work?

When sign-ups go live, would you please consider pointing out that there are 65 fandom nominations under the 'uncatergorized fandoms' tag. I think it would be really easy to overlook them and most of them are there because they have no fic at all.
