Where to find the canon: Purchase it legally on Comixology or Amazon (for vol. 1 only). For other options, drop me a PM. :P Or you can check out panels & such on Graysonology.
What I love about it: You know how American comics are notorious for being aimed at the straight, white, male reader? Grayson is not one of those comics. It's tremendously fun & refreshing in how it subverts all kinds of tropes in the spy genre, has a very diverse and cool cast, and the art is fun to look at. You don't need to know anything about Batman or even DC comics to follow along this book, as it's written for both old readers, and also for new readers to get to know Grayson and the wider DC universe.
The story is that Dick Grayson, the first Robin, former Nightwing, and one of Batman's closest allies, has to fake his death and go undercover in a dodgy secret organisation at Batman's request. Isolated from his family and friends, Grayson becomes Agent 37 for Spyral, and has to navigate the ruthless world of espionage while keeping his principles & outlook on life intact.
As mentioned, the support cast of characters is incredibly diverse & attractive, and includes:
- Helena Bertinelli/the Matron, who is badass with a crossbow & also gets promoted to Big Boss of Spyral later in the series;
- The Tiger, Spyral's best agent who is very intense & smouldering;
- Midnighter, a gay Batman pastiche who recognises Grayson by his ass and kidnaps him for dates. They are frenemies;
- Students from St. Hadrian's Finishing School for Girls, which trains up young women into spies/assasins and & doubles up as Spyral's headquarters. (They save the day!)
And it's not all about the male objectification! Don't take my word for it, here's a nice summary by tumblr user drakefeathers:

Thanks for the promotion comment - sorry it won't actually result in me getting to know this fandom well enough in time to maybe offer it for this exchange. ^^;

But seriously, if I've helped bring another reader into the fold, then I am happy 8D
